Stop Complaining, Start Acting

Our economy is in recession.

There are not enough jobs available.

The available jobs are low paying.

You can come up with thousands of excuses for your failures, and I guarantee you, if you keep doing it, you are never going to be successful.

Forget about succeeding, with this kind of negative attitude, people are likely to stay a good few feets away from you — unless they are like you. Sorry for being too blunt. But that’s the reality.

The thing is, not everything is supposed to be 100% perfect for you to start your journey. There are hurdles which you have to overcome, and honestly, every small or big hurdle that you overcome contributes to your growth.

“Why does it matter that you put off your goals for next week?
Because next week may not come.” ― Rebecca K. Sampson

No matter whatever your current circumstances are, the number of resources available, your kitchen money issue, your fears and anxieties, there’s always a way out to get where you want to be five years from now.

But if you keep complaining and whining about your circumstances, you’ll be remembered as a failure, not a victim.

The world’s most successful entrepreneurs started from scratch and built empires with their sheer hard work and vision.

The first step towards your goal is planning and the second one — which can be a bit daunting — is executing your plans.

If you are delaying execution of some creative ideas which you have been holding for too long, you need to execute them now. If you are too anxious to execute them, a little bit of research can tell you whether they are worth investing your time and money or not.

Likewise, if you are broke and you have no skill to sell, your path for the next 6 months is a straight forward one i.e. investment in yourself in the form of skills.

Don’t overthink about your problems, look for their solutions.

“If you want to be successful, don’t fret about problems. Look for their solutions.”

For instance, you are currently stuck in a 9–5 grind which barely pays your bills, and you want to start your own business, then you have two options. Either consider yourself a victim of corporate culture or lookout for ways to get yourself out of this grind.

A wise man would always look for solutions.

He would do research, seek advice from a person who had been in his shoes before and now successfully running his own business, and do anything to achieve his goals but he would never sit idle and complain.

Miracles happen when you let your mind think out of the box. When you finally come out of your comfort zone. When you venture in the unknown.

And for that, you must have a problem-solving attitude. You must be an action taker, not an excuse maker!

Takeaway

We all are guilty of this. We are prone to complaining and comparing ourselves with those having more resources and a better lifestyle. But rarely do we ask them how much they had to sacrifice to get where they are today. Rarely do we seek advice from them. Instead, we make assumptions. We spend our time devising excuses. If you want to be successful, start acting on your plans today. If you don’t have a plan, devise it now. But stop complaining and start acting.
